I like Bush. Can’t stand the one in office, though.

Posted on Tuesday 26 October 2004

If I haven’t given enough reason to support my choice for the lesser evil this election, I just found another that confirmed it. This country is already getting so damned repressed that if you even mention sex, you’ll be shunned as a hedonist, a womanizer, or at least cause some idiot girl to wine and blush. I don’t advocate “free-love” or any crap like that, but I sure as hell do not advocate abstinence. That is one of the most disgusting concepts of religion, and by far, the most evil. To a rational man, sex is an expression of self-esteem—a celebration of himself and of existence. From Ayn Rand, “sex is the most profoundly selfish of all acts, an act which he cannot perform for any motive but his own enjoyment—just try to think of performing it in a spirit of selfless charity!—an act which is not possible in self-abasement, only in self-exaltation, only in the confidence of being desired and being worthy of desire.”

Well, there you have it. In love and war, Bush is a fool. This is what I read earlier: “Government aid toward organizations that promote abstinence has taken off since Bush took office. Led by a conservative, abstinence-driven wing of his political base, consisting largely of religious groups, Bush has invoked a program of direct federal aid to these community groups that support the anti-sex cause. The Clinton administration asked Congress for $60 million in abstinence advocating programs. For the fiscal year that began on Oct. 1 of this year, the Bush administration has asked for $272 million. That’s a lot of lack of sex.”

With Kerry, at least every Republic will stand against anything he tries to get through Congress. As I said before on the terrorism aspect, I do not think any other presidential nominee would have done better than Bush, but at this point in the game with Bush’s love of establishing theocracies, almost any one would do better continuing it.

you’re going to vote for Kerry because Bush is against sex before marriage? Is it really that big of a deal. At least it’s something that a few people can benifit from (STDs, pregnancy). Kerry will pass things that kill our industry, like environmental laws. Plus, he’s catholic, they’re prudes too.

No, I made other posts that explain my choice. Although, this post does demonstrate the religious hatred of the self, it is not a reason to base a vote on. As for Kerry being Catholic, it is only to get some Catholic votes. I’d be suprised if he’s ever seen the inside of a Catholic church.

And as for sex being a big deal, it is one of man’s greatest joys. (Man including both sexes). It is a very big deal. Teaching that sex is evil; that the body is disgusting and vile; that it should be shunned and repressed, is one of the worst tortures religion has brought to mankind.

But they don’t teach that the body is disgusting and vile, or that it should be shunned and repressed. They teach that it should be delayed and that it is the most beautiful thing that will ever happen between a man and a women. The only difference between your view and theirs is when it should happen. They just want to delay it. By the way, Kerry has principals, and morals, you’ll have to wait until he reaveals them until you know how bad they are. Go with the evil you can predict and understand.

The proper word is not “delayed”. It is “repressed”. According to their teaching, sex is sinful or depraved, regardless of how it is exercised or motivated. Only procreation excuses it as a necessary evil. Have you not noticed the recent gov’t focus and censorship of sex and nudity in films or even the tremendous fines ($1.75 million) doted out for talking about such things? Yet grossly violent and bloody movies pass as PG? Did you not notice the xtian relish of that snuff film by Mel Gibson. So let’s review. Sex and nudity is punished. Bloody torture is respected. If they use the word “beautiful”, sex is not likely what they are referring to.

“Go with the evil you can predict and understand”? I think I will go with the one that will harm me the least. Bush got more socialist bills through and raised more tarrifs stunting the economy than Clinton ever though possiblet. Bush is also vocal and more respected in the community. He is listened to. Just in these quick examples (meaning there are many more) Kerry is does the least harm.

It’s not procreation that exuses it, it’s marraige. The government focus is led by a Democrat. Do you not respect the “bloody torture” (symbolic) of Dagny Taggert? It’s just a slight error in philosophy that causes them to respect their particular bloody torture. When they say beautiful, they are referring to sex, because I have heard, in a government school, by a Lutheran abstinance teacher from an organization called somethinglife, that “sex is a beautiful thing” and “sex is great.” You are wrong about the sex is evil thing. Nowadays, even in very conservative areas of christianity, sex isn’t shunned, it is just respected and set aside until marraige.
How do you know which evil will harm you the least when you don’t understand the evil. That is like telling me that you’ll go and sit in an ant mound because it looks empty from the outside, rather than cut a rose that you know will prick you if you take it. (Damn, that’s a good analogy. Antbed for Kerry, he looks empty now, but he might be full of stinging ants. And then of course the rose for Bush, a beautiful man with a few faults, symbolized by the thorns).
